International Dog Day

Recently we celebrated International Dog Day by inviting our beloved four legged friends to work with us, and gave them a few “jobs” to keep them busy. Check out their employee profiles…

Ruby - Jack Russel/Bichon - Sales

Meet Ruby, our Jackie-Bichon in charge of national sales. Always one to be yapping on the phone, she’ll chew your ear off until you’ve ordered enough beer to last till Summer. She’s so good at her job, she could sell beer to a brewer, and opens new accounts faster than a greyhound at the races.

Joe - Collie Cross - Brewer

Joe’s been a brewer since his Uni days. While the rest of the Collie Cross litter chose to stay on the farm, Joe wasn’t sold on herding, and pursued a career in brewing.

He’s got a sharp palate, and gets very excited talking about breweries like Parrotdog, Brewdog, Dog Fish Head, Black Dog, Moon Dog, the list goes on. Oktoberfest is around the corner, so today Joe’s finishing the recipe for this year’s Fest Bier. Prost!

Jed - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Labelling

Meet Jed. He runs the labelling machine in our packaging room. He claims to be a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but really, he’s the Tweedle De to his Tweedle Dum brother Cooper, who manages the warehouse. Jed’s got an eye for detail and makes sure every label goes on straight. It’s noisy work Jed, better pop your earmuffs back on.

Cooper - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Warehouse

This is Cooper, Jed’s brother. Due to separation anxiety, we had to hire them both. While Jed’s on the labelling machine, Cooper spends his days keeping the warehouse under control from the seat of his forklift. Need something from the top shelf? He’s your guy. Don’t know where the IPA kegs are? Just ask Cooper.

Hurley - Golden Retriever - Warehouse

While Hurley loves hanging out yarning with the brewers, he knows when it’s time to get stuck in and get the job done. He’s a powerful workhorse, but work hard play hard has never rung so true – you wouldn’t like to be the first tennis ball he comes across at the end of the day, and you can always count on him to drink through his weekly beer allocation 2 days in.

Porter - Labradoodle - Accounting

Last but not least is Porter from accounts. When we asked him for a photo at his desk, he insisted on something more “heroic”. Day to day this Labradoodle is really more of a Clark Kent, right down to the reading glasses.
Porter loves number crunching, almost as much as bone crunching. He’ll be the first to let you know when you’ve overspent on the company credit card and he is still giving Ruby grief for the size of her bar tab from Beervana.
Better get down from pallets before Cooper sees you!
