In most countries the colour black means sadness and loss but in New Zealand it’­s more about patriotism and excitement (except in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007 - those years had a heap of sadness and loss). When we made this Black IPA we felt the pride swelling up inside us. You don’­t need to sing the national anthem before drinking but when it­s finished feel free to hold your cup above your head like you­’re the world champion.

Black IPA (6.2%) looks midnight black, and has aromas of citrus, herbs, and toffee. On the palate it's rich coffee with a smooth finish and a lingering hint of pine. Keep an eye out for this latest addition to our Special Edition releases.
