Your vote decides
Ken vs Gaz
Nothing quite like a bit of inter-island rivalry. We've invited two Farmers - one from the North and one from South - to come brew a lager in our Brewery in Frankton, Hamilton. So try and put your mainland vs pig island prejudice behind you and vote for your favourite tasting lager. All you have to do is buy two pints of lager, much easier than voting in the general election or marijuana referendum.
Check our out Brewers and their videos, then head to our Fieldays Bars (13-16th June), or one of the below locations (8th-16th June), to try both, and give us your two cents worth.
We're also donating 50 cents from each pint of the Farmers’ lagers sold, to Farmstrong.co.nz. Farmstrong is a NZ initiative for farmers and growers that shares farmers stories, skills and resources to help farmers "live well, farm well" and get the most out of life.

NORTH ISLAND LAGER
Brewed with all NZ Hops, Gaz has stolen some South Island themes for his Lager - it contains hints of stonefruit and peaches with a citrus zest, and a waft of grapefruit (at least that's more of a north island fruit). This lager has good body with a clean finish.
Malt: Gladfield Lager Light, Gladfield Munich, Gladfield Toffee
Hops: Wai-iti, Pacific jade, Kohatu, Saaz, Motueka
SOUTH ISLAND LAGER
Kens gone global with a German malt mix for a bready aroma, and spice from Czechoslovakian Hops. He has however, stuck to Nelson Hops for the base of citrus and lemon. A classic style lager that uses lots of NZ and Czech hops. These give it a great balance between citrus, floral herbal and earthy notes. This lager has a nice clean crisp finish to make it extremely drinkable.
Malt: Gladfield Pilsner, Weyermann premium pilsner, Weyermann Carapils, Weyermann Wheat
Hops: Motueka, Pacific Jade, Czech Saaz
Now its up to you...........
They boys have done the hard work, all you have to do is bend the elbow. Happy Voting, and enjoy our Good Beer for Good People.
