Jousting Sticks

This is a perfect beer to drink when you are on TradeMe checking out the price of a Jousting Stick. Depending on the condition though you wouldn’t want to pay more than $250. Otherwise tell him he’s dreamin!

This is an Imperial IPA and is influenced by  IIPA’s from breweries such as Russian River Brewery, and Siera Nevada, Stone brewing,and green Flash. It is an intensely big beer with bold hop Aromas and flavours of citrus pine and mango. It has a light Malt grist so the hops can be the showcase. The beer was hopped throughout the brewing process. Mash addition, bitter addition, flavour addition, aroma addition, whirlpool addition and three dryhop additions. 13kg kettle additions, 21kg  dryhop additions for 1400 litres.

You might be asking yourself what the name ‘Jousting Sticks’ has to do with a US Westcoast IIPA……The answer is absolutely nothing!! Don’t be confused by the name there is nothing Australian about this beer, apart from the fact that we love the movie ‘The Castle’. And this is the second in our Castle themed Double IPA’s. This is all US hops and predominantly NZ Malt.
